I enjoyed this selection purchased from a Manager's Special Sale immensely! It's an economical way to experiment and try different coffees without a major committment; like buying a whole bunch of something you don't like.

I only wish I had purchased it for the holiday season. It would've made each day with a houseful a relatives a wee bit more pleasant, no really. A change of coffee to break the annual routine of hearing the same old family stories from the in-laws AGAIN is something to savor. When the in-laws arrive they take over EVERYTHING including the coffee maker. So I'll get a chance to have something in addition to their STRONG, hair-raising brand and coffee method.

Although not a coffee connoisseur, I like the different selections. I anticipate buying more to assist "counting the days" UNTIL the in-laws leave this next holiday season. See there really is a Santa Claus!

Last week I ground up a bag of red bag EOC, in a Capresso Infinity conical burr grinder on the 3rd finest of 16 settings. Brewed in a real cheap(but excellent) drip maker,(at the GF's house) the results were outstanding. The nutty chocolaty taste really comes alive when ground real fine. And the slight hint of a wine finish leaves a lasting favorable aftertaste on the tongue. For the ease of availabilty and the price, the taste is hard to top.

Right now I am about 1/2 way through a bag of 8 O'Clock Columbian whole bean. This is a good morning coffee. It has a nice aroma while brewing and the filter basket has a nice aroma also when removing from my Bunn coffee maker right after brewing. When partially cooled it has a nice wine like finish. If ground medium fine it has nice chocolate taste. For $4 a bag it is good Joe.

Just opened a new bag of EOC Columbian, it is still consistently very good. Ground real fine the nice winey aftertaste really comes alive. Again 8 O'Clock surprises. Keep it up 8 O'Clock. You rock,

as other has noted this is a smooth flavorful coffee. i am very impressed. i decided to try it after reading it won best in show for some national taste test. i will try other versions now too. i have been a Gevalia fan for some time and this competes or beats at a better price.

further tasting confirms my comments. i even found that changing the creamer concentration will expose more flavor or smoothness in the coffee without changing the coffee concentration.

I think I must have gotten 3 shipments thus far. I canceled it today. Coffee is tasteless, intensity is not consistent and moreover 25% of the pods are duds. They produce nothing but light watery coffee. Instead I would recommend coffee pods by Senseo.

As a coffee lover and admitted addict and having tried most coffees commercially available, Eight O'Clock is the best value by far. I usually buy the beans, grind them, and brew my coffee in an old fashioned, stove top percolator pot (also from Amazon). The BEST. This coffee has a full flavor but is never bitter or sour (as Starbucks coffee often is).

I was disappointed to find that the Beans came Whole. Since I don't own a fancy Coffee machine like French snobs or a fancy grinder, I didn't know how to use them. I tried to smash them with a hammer but they were inconsistent. When I did manage to borrow a grinder from a homeless man, I found that the Coffee tasted like poo.

To start out, let me say that I simply LOVE this coffee! The local stores simply do not carry this brand any longer, and I have been doing without until I came across this item on the Internet at Amazon.com! Oh, happy days!!! Now if I could only find "pods" made by them too!

I may not be a coffee connoisseur or guru, but I know what I like, and this beats all those HIGH PRICED Seattle based coffee houses, hands down. Plus, it's about half the price!!
